Diddy was sentenced to 50 months
in federal prison after being convicted on two counts of transporting
individuals across state lines for prostitution. He was acquitted by a jury of
the more serious charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking,
which could have resulted in a significantly longer prison sentence.
The music mogul is currently serving
his sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. His time behind bars has
included participation in a rehabilitation program, while reports have also
highlighted his involvement in activities within the facility. In July, Diddy
was placed in solitary confinement following an alleged altercation with
another inmate. He was subsequently released from the special housing unit in
August.
His projected release date has
continued to change throughout his incarceration. In July, the date was moved
up to January 24, 2028, before being pushed back to February following the
reported prison altercation. It was later moved to February 5, 2028, according
to the Bureau of Prisons information reported by TMZ.
Now, according to the latest update
reported by TMZ,
Diddy’s projected release date has reportedly been moved from February 5,
2028, to January 21, 2028.
If the latest date remains in place,
Diddy would have approximately 16 months remaining on his sentence as of
late September 2026. His release date could still change depending on factors
including sentence credits and Bureau of Prisons calculations.
When Diddy was initially sentenced,
his projected release timeline was considerably later. Since then, the date has
shifted multiple times, reflecting adjustments to his projected time in federal
custody.
For now, January 21, 2028 is the latest reported projected release date. Given the number of adjustments already made, however, the date remains subject to further changes as Diddy continues to serve his sentence.
